How to register for and use the app
  • How to register (new user)

     
    1. Download Absa Kenya Mobile App via Google Play, Apple Store or Huawei App Gallery
    2. Open the app on your device
    3. Click register (extreme top right)
    4. Enter your details and click continue
    5. Select verification method
    6. Populate verification details and click continue
    7. You receive OTP via SMS and enter the OTP
    8. Create an online banking username
    9. Create an online banking password
    10. You will see a confirmation screen 
  • How to pay your credit card

    1. Open the Absa Kenya Mobile App on your device
    2. Login
    3. Select the 'Transact' option on the bottom of the screen
    4. Select the"Pay Credit Card" option
    5. Select to pay to a saved credit card number or to a new credit card
    6. Select account to pay from and select an amount to pay and click continue
    7. Verify the transaction details and input the OTP
    8. You will see a confirmation screen 
  • How to request a statement

    1. Open the Absa Kenya Mobile App on your device
    2. Login
    3. Tap the account whose transaction history you want to view
    4. The account's transaction history will be displayed
    5. You can filter the transactions by inward/outward/date range/amount range
  • How to locate a branch or ATM

    1. Open the Absa Kenya Mobile App on your device
    2. Click on the burger menu at the extreme Top left
    3. Select ATM & Branch Locator
    4. Select All, or ATM or Branch
    5. The ATM/branch locations are displayed
    6. You can also use the Search option to narrow down the ATM/Branch search
  • How to enable fingerprint log in

    1. Open the Absa Kenya Mobile App on your device
    2. Login
    3. Select the 'More' option on the bottom right of the screen
    4. Go to Settings
    5. Select "Enable Fingerprint"
    6. You are prompted to place your finger on your phone's fingerprint sensor. Note:Fingerprint Log in must already be enabled on your phone before you can enable it on the Absa Mobile Banking app
    7. After placing your finger on your phone finger print sensor, a notification is displayed letting you know that biometric login has been successfully enabled
    8. To disable Fingerprint log in, Please go to Settings and turn off the option "Enable Fingerprint Login"
How to add a beneficiary
  • Airtime top up

    1. Open the Absa Kenya Mobile App on your device
    2. Login
    3. Click on More (bottom right)
    4. Select "Beneficiaries"
    5. Select Add new beneficiary 
    6. Select Buy Airtime
    7. Populate beneficiary name
    8. Select service provider
    9. Input the mobile number and click continue
    10. Review details and save
    11. Enter OTP and continue
  • Electricity

    1. Open the Absa Kenya Mobile App on your device
    2. Login
    3. Click on More (bottom right)
    4. Select "Beneficiaries"
    5. Select Add new beneficiary
    6. Select "Pay a bill" and select "Water and Power Utility"
    7. Select PataPawa KPLC - Prepaid or KPLC Postpaid as the biller and input the account number and beneficiary name and continue
    8. Review details and save
    9. Enter OTP and continue
  • DSTV

    1. Open the Absa Kenya Mobile App on your device
    2. Login
    3. Click on More (bottom right)
    4. Select "Beneficiaries"
    5. Select Add new beneficiary
    6. Select "Pay a bill" and select "Television Subscription"
    7. Select Multichoice - DSTV as the biller and input the reference number and beneficiary name and continue
    8. Review details and save
    9. Enter OTP and continue
  • Fund transfer to an Absa account

    1. Open the Absa Kenya Mobile App on your device
    2. Login
    3. Click on More (bottom right)
    4. Select "Beneficiaries"
    5. Select Add new beneficiary
    6. Select "Domestic Absa Account"
    7. Populate account number and Lookup to verify. (Beneficiary name populates automatically after lookup). Click continue
    8. Review details and save
    9. Enter OTP and continue
How to do a fund transfer
  • Absa to Absa

    1. Open the Absa Kenya Mobile App on your device
    2. Login
    3. Select 'Transact' icon at the bottom
    4. Select Absa to Absa
    5. Select to pay to an existing beneficiary or new beneficiary and input the details and click continue
    6. Select account to transfer from, currency and enter amount and click continue
    7. Accept transaction fee and click Transfer now
    8. Enter OTP and continue
    9. You will see a confirmation screen 
  • Real-time gross settlement (RTGS)

    1. Open the Absa Kenya Mobile App on your device
    2. Login
    3. Select 'Transact' icon at the bottom
    4. Select RTGS
    5. Select to pay to an existing beneficiary. Pay a new beneficiaty feature not available on app
    6. Select account to transfer from, currency and enter amount and click continue
    7. Verify details click Transfer now
    8. You will see a confirmation screen 
  • International transfer

    1. Open the Absa Kenya Mobile App on your device
    2. Login
    3. Click on Transact icon at the bottom
    4. Select "International"
    5. Select to pay to a new beneficiary or existing beneficiary
    6. Input the beneficiary name,address,city and country of residence and click continue
    7. Input the account number/IBAN. You can also input the clearing network and clearing code(if applicable) and click continue
    8. Input the beneficiary bank SWIFT code. Intermediary bank details are optional.
    9. Choose if you want to save the beneficiary to your list of payees and Click on "Continue"
    10. Select the source account, currency and also input the transaction amount 
    11. Select the party responsible for paying the transaction fees(BEN/SHA/OUR)and click continue
    12. Input the OTP and select "Continue". 
    13. The International Transfer confirmation page is displayed.
  • Internal transfer (between own accounts)

    1. Open the Absa Kenya Mobile App on your device
    2. Login
    3. Select the 'Transact' option on the bottom right of the screen
    4. Select the "Inter-account" option
    5. Select the source and beneficiary accounts
    6. Input the amount and transaction narration and click continue
    7. Verify details and click "Transfer now"
    8. You will see a onfirmation screen
