Barclays Premier League legend Robert Pires today joined representatives from International Youth Foundation and members of the Mathare Youth Sports Association (MYSA) in the launch of a new initiative designed to equip young people with work-readiness and financial skills needed to achieve economic and social independence.

Barclays Bank of Kenya has reported an 8% increase in profit after tax for the half year period ending June 2015. Net profit rose from KES 4.2 billion in June 2014 to KES 4.6 billion on the back of increased earnings from non-interest income lines.

Barclays Bank of Kenya has announced a profit before tax of KES 3.1bn for the period ended 31 March 2015 2015 which represents a 10% growth compared to the same period last year. The bank, one of Kenya’s leading financial solutions providers, has attributed the result mainly to a 13% growth in interest income.

Barclays Bank of Kenya today reported a 10% increase in profit before tax of KES 12.3 billion for the year ended 31st December 2014 up from KES 11 billion recorded the previous year.

Barclays Bank of Kenya Limited (Barclays Kenya) announced its interim results for the six months ended 30 June 2011. Barclays Kenya’s profit before tax increased by 13% to Kshs 5,346mn (2010: Kshs 4,749mn).
